Delahaye • 32″ • Edition of 10 • Lost wax bronze • in polychrome or bronze
At the 1939 World's fair in N.Y. the respected French firm of Delahay presented their Type 165, a V12 Powered supercar with a spectacular body by Figoni & Falaschi. It was found years later – the body in a shed in California. The empty engine in Germany, the chief engineer of Delahaye supplying the original blueprints. Great story.
The Delahaye was restored and won best of show at Pebble Beach.
“Delahaye” is 32.5 inches long, in lost wax bronze, with polished trim.
The car is shown on a fast drive on a country road; art deco dust billows behind.
Uniquely, the photos show the 1st of the edition. And this sculpted car has headlights, taillights and dashboard lights that work.
“Delahaye” is available in a numbered edition of 10.
Our photos show a custom commision of the couple. We would make yours with one driver enjoying his big ride.
